Dr. Praveen's Residence

CONCEPT: As a response to hot climate of Bijapur, an inward looking courtyard was ideal, where all spaces could open up and turn into an interaction zone. As the site faces the West, the jaali walled façade with landscape scattered to compliment the built structure brings a balance to the exterior, and favours ventilation.
As one enters into the house, you first get a glimpse of the voluminous living area, this gives rise to two chunks of spaces, dedicated to kitchen-dining and master bedroom, located as per vastu.
The next floor has two bedrooms separated by a family area that overlooks the living room below.
Concluded with minimalistic interiors, balconies contribute to the cozy ambiance.
